Create a timetable

Staying organized is the key to success in JEE Main exam. Creating a timetable (a realistic one!) is one of the best ways to stay organized. An exam study timetable helps you prioritise things, makes you more efficient, and also makes it easier for you to track your progress. And if you are one of those who have a tendency to procrastinate things, a timetable becomes all the more important and useful.

Set daily goals

With just a few days left for the exam, it might be too late to set monthly or weekly goals. At this point, taking one day at a time is the best way to cover IIT JEE Main syllabus. Clearly define all study tasks you need to complete on a daily basis to keep your preparation on track. While setting daily goals and creating a timetable, it is important to keep some time aside for relaxation.

Clear your doubts

It’s never too late to clear your doubts. Ideally, you must have a clarity on all the concepts by now. However, if there is any concept or problem that you find confusing, it’s important to gain clarity on it. Seek the help of your teacher or friends if needed to understand a topic better. Ignoring a concept, especially if it’s an important one, is never a good idea as it can affect your performance in the exam.

Take mock tests and practice papers

Taking mock tests and solving practice papers is one of the best ways to prepare for IIT JEE Main Exam. The more tests you take, the more you will understand your strong and weak areas. Most importantly, practice papers prepare you for real exam-like situations. While taking the mock tests, it is important to analyze your performance and work on the questions you get wrong.

Create an exam-day strategy

Creating an exam-day strategy is of paramount importance. It may sound cliche, but it’s always advisable to attempt the easier questions first. Spending too much time on questions that are complex and time-consuming is something that should be avoided. Once you are done with the easier questions, you can always come back, if time permits, to the difficult ones.

IIT JEE Main exam is not just a stepping stone to JEE Advanced. It also opens the door to admission in many leading engineering institutes. Keeping the above tips in mind will make it easier for you to prepare for the JEE Main exam to be held on 9,10,11 and 12 January 2019.
